Seven Sundays or forty-nine days after Easter marks the beginning of Pentecost. It is the end of the church calendar. Easter is a movable feast on the calendar and occurs depends on the new moon after the first day of Spring.

It is the celebration of the Holy Spirit descending upon the Apostles. It represents the birth of the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) and the church.

The church is dressed in red representing joy, warmth and the fire of the Holy Spirit.

Trinity Sunday follows the day after the beginning of Pentecost.
